The people who are loved by many people are those with genuine interests in others--not those who may have said the funniest things in the world or can do the coolest tricks, etc. I guess it's difficult if you never thought about this consciously before but there is a big difference in the following two people: - A person who can look bored with the person they're speaking with, even if they are interested in the topic being discussed
- A person who looks interested in the person they're speaking with, often interested in the person's way of thinking, reasoning, the motivations for their actions, or even their reactions to what you said or did, as well as the topic being discussed
