This is a free service for students and staff of participate universities. There are 13 universities participating in the BONUS+ Libraries across Australia and New Zealand. Over 7.2 million books are available in these systems.. All books requested from BONUS+ will go through the central catalogue (http://bonus.newcastle.edu.au) to find the book you need. Requested items will be delivered to your preferred library branch without having to pay for any delivery costs. However, terms and conditions of loan vary, depending on different universities.
Not only is this a vital resource because you no longer have to wait for the next book to become available, but you can also find books that were not originally stocked in the library. QUT doesn't have a copy of 'Gender Trouble'? No problem. Order it with the BONUS+ catalogue. Note also that using this free-of-charge service, can replace actually buying textbooks, which means more money for things you need.
Since it's all a part of the university package, we should utilise all the resources we have on campus as we need them. Good luck with your studies!
