Today was the second day of O-week. Comparing to yesterday, there were not that many students but it was still very busy. When I was walking around, I found this interesting photos that were displayed at the Bangladesh Student Association tent. These are apparently photos with research students who are all from different countries holding a piece of paper shown what their first language is. This really shows how multi cultural QUT is! I was amazed to see all these photos. If you also look carefully, most of the photos were taken in the same room which also show these students sit and work in the same room, probably with the same faculty. These days, I think it's important to be able to work with people from different backgrounds, especially with higher degrees like research degrees.
The photos before were there to advertise Bangladesh Student Association's Mother Language day which is on February, 21 at KG-W201. The event starts at 5.30 pm and I think this would be a very good opportunity for any students to get to know other students from different backgrounds! If you are keen, please contact Bangladesh Student Association Facebook page.
