websites and apps I find useful that may help you with time and task management.
- Google Contacts - This enables me to email groups. This comes handy especially when you communicate with different groups between different units.
- Google Drive - This is basically a free online Office. I use this most of the time to work on my assignments. I don't have to worry about compatibility issues as it is compatible with any office formats (.doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, etc). It also saves the file instantly so in case my slow notebook crashes, I always have it saved. I can export files as .docx and email to my group mates without any issues. I don't need MS Office installed on my computer anymore! I also love using its drawing feature. I often need to include figures and diagrams in my assignments, and the drawing tool is super easy to draw a perfectly straight line. There is also a Google Drive app available, but you can't edit any files if you're not connected to stable internet.
- Wunderlist - Wunderlist is a detailed project management tool. The tasks can be shared and exported to email. Tasks also can have due dates, files attached, notes attached, and voice recordings!
- Gtask - This is a task list managing app that I use on my tablet. It can be synced to my Google account and its widget is simple and concise. I love how it shows a complete list of tasks with their due dates in a simple widget. I can also create new tasks on the widget (although you will need an Android device to do this!) It also syncs with Google Calendar.
- AdBlock - This is one of Chrome extensions that I use. This prevents Facebook to show any ads on the side and any ads on YouTube. It makes the page load faster and also prevents me to get destructed from the adverts while I'm working on something.
- MightyText - This is a software/app that allows me to read and send texts from computer. I have MightyText Chrome extension so as long as I have Chrome open on any computers, I don't have to look for my phones when I get any texts. This is super handy when I'm doing online banking as it shows what the security code is straight away when I transfer money online. It also shows a notification when you receive calls and is handy when your phone is on silent mode. Unfortunately, it's only for Android users.
- Google Calendar - I think everyone knows how useful Google Calendar is, but just to recap. You can view your online calendar on your phone, tablet and internet browser. You can easily manage different calendars and share your calendar with your friends or group mates. You can also view as agenda, which is like another task list.
- Dropbox - I think a lot of people use Dropbox, and the mobile app is very handy when you're out and have to access Dropbox.
- DropSync - This app automatically syncs files that you have on your Dropbox on your Android phone and tablet. You can select which folders to be synced. I wish Dropbox app had this feature built in.
